Hi everyone, After installing CuteFish 0.4.2 Ubuntu, I realized that tap to click was not working properly on the touchpad, so I went into the configuration manager and then keyboard and mouse and enabled the tap to click box, but after turning it off or log out the option was turned off again. I don't know if this is related only to my device or if it affects other notebooks, searching the internet I found a way to solve the problem.
First I installed the Touchpad Indicator using:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:atareao/atareao
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install touchpad-indicator
So I opened the program and tap to click started to work automatically, but there was still a problem, the program didn't start with the system and it was necessary to open the Touchpad indicator at every restart.
To solve this, I installed the GNOME startup applications using:
sudo apt-get install gnome-startup-applications
After installation, open the program with:
Finally I created a new entry in gnome startup called touchpad-Indicator to start the Touchpad Indicator along with OS , then saved and restarted.
The tap to click not works on lock screen, after unlocking it works.
Hope this helps!
